    Born on 1st June, 1972 in a small village named Hanol located in Palitana taluka, District Bhavnagar of Gujarat state in a middle-class farmer’s family.

  • As a Student Leader

    In 1992, at the age of 20 years, he became a member of Akhil Bharatiya Vidhyarthi Parishad and by his organizational skills, he soon became a State Executive Member of Akhil Bharatiya Vidhyarthi Parishad.

  • First Step in Politics

    1996 was the year when Shri Mansukh Mandaviya joined politics after becoming a member of Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) and played a key role in various activities.

  • President Palitana Taluka BJP

    In 1998, Mansukh Mandaviya became President of Palitana Taluka BJP.

  • Elected as MLA

    When he was elected, he was the youngest MLA in Gujarat Legislative Assembly.

  • Padyatra for Social Cause – “Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao”

    As a Member of Legislative Assembly, he undertook a 123 KM long Padyatra, titled “Kanya Kelavani Jyot Padyatra” for the Social Cause ‘Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao’ for 38 educational backward villages of his constituency. Due to this initiative, the school enrollment ratio of Palitana for girls reached 1007 and the drop-out ratio could be lower than the State average for girls.

  • Padyatra for Social Cause – “Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao, Vyasan Hatao”

    In 2006, he organized 127 KM padyatra connecting 45 villages of his constituency with the title “Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao, Vyasan Hatao”

  • Chairman, Gujarat Agro Industries Corporation Ltd.

    As a chairman, Mandaviya took innovative measures like E-Radiation treatment plant at Bavla, which is First Government Facility; Poha (Flattened Rice) plant at Navsari; Modern banana Pack house at Achaliya (Bharuch) and Bio-Fertilizers Plant at Gondal.

  • Member of Parliament, Rajya Sabha

    During the first tenure, Raised 448 parliament questions out of which assurances were given in 86 by Government, 14 Private Member Bills and 30 special mentions were made.
    While his tenure as Member of Parliament he has been a part of various important Standing and Consultative committees, namely ‘Petroleum and Natural Gas’, Chemical & Fertilizers and Industries’, ‘Environment, Forest & Climate Change’, ‘Textiles’, ‘Select Committee for Real Estate Bill-2015’.

  • State Secretary, Gujarat BJP

    Nominated as Youngest State Secretary in BJP Organization.

  • Incharge, BJP Membership Drive, Gujarat State

    Lead BJP’s Hightech Membership Drive in Gujarat State and achieved highest members in all states of India. On completion of the membership drive, BJP became world’s largest political party.

  • State General Secretary, Gujarat BJP

    Considering his organizational skills, he was appointed as general secretary in BJP organization. He is youngest State General Secretary of BJP Organization.

  • Represented India at United Nations – 19th October, 2015

    For his intellectual analysis and thought leadership, He was selected to represent India at United Nations in 2015 where he delivered his speech on ‘2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development’.

    Had privilege to represent India at the Economic and Social Council meeting of United Nation General Assembly.

  • Took oath as Minister of State in the Council of Ministers, Government of India

    He was sworn in as the Minister of State for Road Transport and Highways, Shipping and Chemical and Fertilizers, in the Government of India. With his decisive and bold leadership aimed at the well-being of the people, Mansukh Mandaviya has helped to increase the daily road construction speed, decreasing the cost of Urea and other fertilizers, establishing more than 7,800 Jan Aushadhi stores to provide more than 1,402 medicines and more than 200 surgical items and medical devices at affordable rates and reducing the cost of heart stent and knee implants. Additionally, he has not left any stone unturned to help and uplift the common man, farmers and businesses.

  • As a Minister

    With his decisive and bold leadership, he has helped increasing the per day road construction speed, decreasing the cost of Urea and other fertilizers, establishing more than 5100 Jan Aushadhi stores to provide more than 850 medicines at affordable rates and reducing the cost of ‘Heart Stent’ and ‘Knee Implants’.

  • Re-elected as Member of Parliament, Rajya Sabha

    On Completion of First successful term as a Member of Rajya Sabha, he is re-elected for upper house for 2018-2024

  • Took oath as Minister of State (Independent Charge) in the Council of Ministers, Government of India:

    He was the Minister of State (Independent Charge) in the Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways. Also, he held the portfolio of the Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilizers as the Minister of State.

  • Shri Mansukh Mandaviya has completed a Doctorate of Philosophy degree (PhD)

    Shri Mansukh Mandaviya has completed a Doctorate of Philosophy degree (PhD), on the subject of ‘Role of Gram Vidhyapiths in Community Development and Future Challenges’, in the field of Political Science, from the Gujarat Institute of Development and Research, Ahmedabad.

    He commenced his PhD education on December 18, 2017, and completed the same on October 01, 2021.

  • Participated in WEF 2022

    Participated in WEF22 Session on ‘Redefining Food Systems with Emerging Technologies’. Elaborated on the role of technology & innovations in building resilience in global food systems. Also, highlighted various efforts of PM Narendra Modi Ji’s Govt in modernising agri sector.

  • Attended the opening session of 75th World Health Assembly

    Attended the opening session of 75th World Health Assembly at the United Nations Palais des Nations complex in Geneva. The assembly will discuss current & future priorities for public health issues of global importance. This year’s theme is ‘Health for Peace, Peace for Health’.
