Led by Union Minister Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya, the padyatra in Jashpur, Chhattisgarh, marked the Janjatiya Gaurav Divas, a nationwide celebration initiated by Hon. PM Narendra Modi in 2021 to honor Bhagwan Birsa Munda’s birth anniversary.

A Massive Youth Movement:
Over 15,000 young participants from 150+ institutions across Chhattisgarh joined hands, making this padyatra a grand celebration of tribal culture and youth-led change.

Pre-Event Engagements to Inspire Action:
The padyatra was preceded by activities like Swachhta drives, yoga sessions, and shramdaan campaigns across 10+ locations, embodying PM Modi’s vision for cleanliness and community service.

Celebrating Tribal Icons:
The inaugural ceremony featured the felicitation of 30+ tribal youth icons and showcased a documentary on Bhagwan Birsa Munda’s life, inspiring thousands of attendees.

Empowering Stories from the Heartland:
Two young achievers from the region shared their transformative journeys, motivating participants to embrace their potential and roots.

A Warm Welcome with Cultural Splendor:
Traditional Bagada baja music, Gaur Sinh Nritya performances, and vibrant displays of tribal crafts like Chid ki Chattai, Bans Pidhaa, and Supa greeted padyatris at every turn.

A Feast of Tribal Flavors:
Honoring local traditions, attendees, including Dr. Mandaviya, relished tribal delicacies like Duska, Fariya Kand, and Thekua, blending heritage with hospitality.

Exhibiting Tribal Pride and Progress:
Exhibitions celebrated tribal freedom fighters like Lakshman Dora Ji and Lakshman Nayak Ji while highlighting PM Modi’s health schemes that uplift tribal communities.

A Cultural Extravaganza Along the Route:
The 10 km journey came alive with 22 stops showcasing 10+ traditional dances, 40+ tribal food varieties, rangoli displays, handicrafts, and tribal games.

At each halting point, Dr. Mandaviya was greeted with unique tribal customs, while villagers joined the padyatra, adding to the festive spirit.

From leading refreshment and water stalls to demonstrating kabaddi and kho-kho, young tribal girls and MY Bharat volunteers showcased exceptional enthusiasm.
Learning from Grassroots Leaders:
Padyatris interacted with PGVT groups, sharing ideas and government initiatives aimed at community development and empowerment.

Honoring Legends:
Dr. Mandaviya paid floral tributes to Bhagwan Birsa Munda and Babasaheb Ambedkar, symbolizing respect for their visionary contributions.

A Grand Finale with Impact:
The padyatra concluded with cultural performances, stalls on government initiatives like the PM Janman scheme, and letters of appreciation for all participants.

The event catalyzed a surge in youth participation, with 21,000 new registrations on MY Bharat in just three days.

A Year-Long Celebration of Unity and Diversity:
Under Dr. Mandaviya’s guidance, MY Bharat will host a series of padyatras nationwide, showcasing India’s rich cultural heritage while aligning with Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat and Youth in Politics initiatives of Hon. PM Modi.
